Light red = desert
Australia is fantastic! The beaches and the animals are spectacular but one of the most incredible things is Ayers Rock. This giant stone also called Uluru is laying in the northern territory. It is the second biggest rock in the world. It's more that 318 meters high and is more that eight kilometers in circumference. It goes 2,5 kilometers down into the earth.
Ayer's Rock is holy to the aborigines.
Around the stone is made a  national park called Uluru-Kata Tjurk.
You can take a closer look here.

Another attraction in Australia is the Great Barrier Reef. It is the biggest coral reef in the world and can be seen from space.
It follows the northeastern coast of Australia and is 2.300 kilometers long.

The reef consists of 2500 single reefs.
